Happy New Year

Suddenly, it's time to go to work!

What an exciting month. I was privileged to make presentations to four business development groups that are a part of Business Networking West, a savvy networking organization that is rock solid. I'm so impressed with the quality of the people I met. What a potpourri of business knowledge and wisdom.

I talked a little about desktop publishing and a little about sound Web development. One of the members contacted me later and my colleague Jackie McCutcheon and I put together a website for her dynamic business Bennett Bridal & Wedding Supply. Here's another business that's going to soar.

This month, my sister Carolyn went up to Bellingham to spend several weeks with our mother while brother David and sister-in-law Janet went on vacation. They got to spend some time with our cousin Tim Nielsen and wife Jan in Florida. They saw a lot of alligators during their visit. I usually see one or two at a time when I go to a zoo, and that's enough for me.

We planned to drive to Casa Grande on January 3 to potluck with Will and Mari Bontrager and Serenata, but other things got in the way. We finally got together on the 31st. What fun! The Bontragers are wintering at a beautiful RV park, and we sat on their patio visiting and eating delicious Mexican food for several hours. Serenata is so gifted a cook that Jack and I didn't have any heartburn.

Serenata is a fantastic cook/chef, and she coordinated the meal. We're all looking forward to the next time we can get together. So many things to talk about! The Internet. Web development. Our pets. Food. Chocolate.
