December 2002: Family Month
What a busy month, and how quickly it went by. Far too quickly for me to get out many Christmas cards. Not a lot of business this month. People everywhere focusing on other things. Me too.
My heart is full of love, but my energy level is another story. I'm still reeling from the effects of the flu, and dealing with an increased hearing loss brought about by an ear infection. Thank God for excellent hearing aids!
Ted Vorfeld visited us in the middle of the month. Good fun as always. Christmas Day was wonderful. Ron and Kerrie invited us for dinner, and we had such a great time. Of course the granddogs kept us occupied. They are beautiful and so happy.
On December 26, Jan, Jim, James and Kate came to town for a few days, and we were surrounded by a wonderful energy and enthusiasm. Why is it that we're convinced that our grandchildren are extra special? Because they are. And did I mention intelligent?
We love the way Jan and Jim are bringing up their children. It's always a major challenge, and they are more than up to it. And now, on to the new year!
