No April Fool: Snow in Monroe

April 1, 2009 By Administrator

Just returned from a business breakfast overlooking a golf course, where flowers are brilliant and the grass is gorgeous. The first email I opened is from my daughter-in-law, Kerrie Simpson. It’s her birthday. And what does Mother Nature give Kerrie? Snow. In Monroe, Washington. Here are a couple of pictures, one of Nellie the St Bernard and one looking out from their deck:

Nellie, my granddog, made KOMO weather news

December 19, 2008 By Administrator

My adorable (and sort of huge) granddog, Nellie, made the Seattle station KOMO’s weather photos page.

The snow has been spectacular in Monroe, where my son and daughter-in-law live. Here are a couple more pictures: one with Ron and Nellie, and one of granddog Gracie cavorting through the snow as only a golden retriever can do!

L’il Bear meets Christmas Bear

November 1, 2008 By Administrator

I’ve been cleaning closets and organizing between other tasks today, and I decided to get Christmas Bear out to meet L’il Bear. No sooner did I plop him down that up leaped L’il Bear ready to protect or attack or whatever. Actually, he ended up biting the bear and eating a little of its fur, so I had to send him back to the linen closet.

T’was Halloween. Just before Trick or Treaters

November 1, 2008 By Administrator

The Vorfeld residence had two happy little cats about 5 p.m. on Halloween. They were on the back of the loveseat just enjoying each other…snuggling and looking at each other. Too cute not to share.

An hour later, they were not snuggling. They decided that all the noisy people who kept coming to the door were too much for them, so they retired to the bedroom.

Several hours later, I called out, “All clear.” Were they relieved!
