Accessibility – Wireless

July 21, 2013 By Administrator

istock_000020557146largePeople with various disabilities are constantly searching out wireless options. What are the best apps for hearing impaired? For vision impaired? This post points to the use of Wireless Devices by Adults with Disabilities, which comes from RERC (Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center) at Georgia Tech.

The newsletter is excellent and full of information and requests for feedback. I recommend subscribing. In the latest issue, it says that wireless customers can find the many available wireless devices, plans, and apps bewildering. Below are several resources that link directly to accessibility resources so that you may review wireless technologies that are available and find what might work best for you…

I also recommend you sign up for their surveys…and in particular, their Hearing Aid Compatibility Survey.
