Vorfeld & Retallick Hit Desert Botanical Garden

Martha Retallick & I visited Desert Botanical Garden today. This time I focused more on using my telephoto lens. Here are several pictures, including two of Chihuly glass, and one of a ground squirrel.

Judy, I LOVE Chihuly! First saw him in 2001 at the Tacoma Times when I interviewed with them. Amazing work! Photos can’t do him justice, but yours certainly tweaked my interest! The squirrel is a cutie too! I am so glad you’re a photographer too! I want to spend the day just taking photos with you when I come out there later this year! It’ll obviously be FUN!! Thanks for posting these!

Great shots, Judy! I really wish we had seen the Chihuly while we were in Phoenix, but there wasn’t time. Is it a permanent collection or temporary?

Melissa, it’s temporary until the end of May. A group of us want to/plan to go to the nighttime exhibit, because a number of the more stunning pieces light up at night. Should be spectacular.
