I also have a fairly good sized crevasse in the ground outside my bedroom. It's not my fault I live on a fault line. I was writing an article when it hit and went running through the house yelling EARTHQUAKE! RUN! I almost jumped out a screened window. I thought the house would fall. It was very scary.
