I am a lifelong dog lover and have done volunteer work with Guide Dogs for the Blind, so I am well aware of how incredibly helpful a dog can be. I wonder if any possible help for his auditory sensitivity has been suggested? I don't want to sound like I am pushing a product at all but...the company I work for produces one of several auditory training programs available, and it is often used with children on the spectrum. Ours is called The Listening Program. If you wanted to to know more, there is information available on our website. I hope that it will be a very short time before Chris does get his dog, and will be interested to hear more about his life with a buddy by his side.
