Getting up before the crack of dawn to make sure to get a good photo of a cactus blossom was worth it. These cactus blossoms are part of the night-blooming cereus family, and generally (but not always) open at night. Once they're fully open, they emit a glorious scent. Enjoy!
Leave it to my brother, David Crook, to capture the exquisite beauty of the birds at Saguaro Ranch Park in Glendale, Arizona. I am compelled to share this shot (which I redigitized) of a peacock parading its magnificence to park visitors and peahens. Not necessarily in that order. David was accompanied by granddaughter Jenna and husband, Brandon, who are here on their honeymoon.
My brother, David Crook, took some incredible sunset shots yesterday using his new Pentax *ist DS camera. He lives in Westbrook Village, and went to the lake to do some shooting. Plus, he sent one of the sunset photos to Channel 5 in Phoenix, and they ran it tonite. Way to go, bro!
